BPC-157, a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a gastric protein, is examined for effects on angiogenesis and tissue repair, with proposed mechanisms involving the nitric oxide system and VEGFR2 signaling.

TB-500, a synthetic fragment of Thymosin β-4, is studied for actin sequestration, cell migration, and wound-healing pathways in cell-culture models. GHK-Cu, a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide, has been investigated in vitro for its proposed role in transcriptional modulation, copper transport, collagen and extracellular matrix gene expression, and cellular antioxidant response.
