Epithalon (also written Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled on epithalamin, a naturally occurring peptide of the pineal gland. In longevity and aging research it is studied for its proposed effects on telomerase activity and telomere maintenance, as well as its influence on circadian and melatonin-related regulation, primarily in cell culture and rodent models. It is an investigational compound with no approved therapeutic indication.
